Buttermarket - Shrewsbury

Just thought I give boys who run the Buttermarket in Shrewsbury a thumbs up, although you had me going for a bit. Typical old style converted former work building, high roof, stone walls etc, main room on numerous levels with two reasonable size wooden dancefloors. Playing mostly oldies and club classics, and a fair crowd dancing their hearts out, after about an hour I was getting worried! as I had travelled to hear unknowns, mid tempo, crossover etc I was beginning to wonder how guest DJ John Weston's spot was going to go down with the current dancers being played. Grabed John, as he passed by on way to bar, who then informs myself, Phil Blacknell & Chris Fenny, we where in the wrong room, and that the ROOM we should be in was upstairs. A quick pack up of my sales boxes and up the stairs we went, relief all around, not a wasted journey after all. Then spent the next 3+ hours listening to some great tracks, from Mr Weston and the Shrewsbury Soul Clan, also managed some sales as well. Great venue catering for everybody, oldies etc downstairs, rare and different upstairs, will certainly pay another visit. Top track of the night for me Lou Pride - You're love is fading away.

***** Worth a visit :ohmy::shhh::huh:
