Guest Dodger
Yes we are going Simon and cant wait, its our first time at Blackpool so any chance of a little insight into this event, do the room times clash, do you move round the rooms to listen to your favorite djs? are there records for sale? little boxes etc CU Friday Blake & Nicky Blake, in answer to a couple of your points: The lounge opens and the tunes start at 3pm Friday right through uninterrupted until 6am - the other rooms open at various times from 9pm onwards and yes they're all running at the same time, you pays your money and takes your choice, there's summat for most tastes - lounge is anything goes really, there's the 60s/tent room, garridge/jazz funk room and Springs night which is new/classic soul. There's a record seller room with an assortment of people flogging their wares, new stuff, vinyl, T-shirts etc. Yes the drink's pricey but it's a Hilton Hotel but as as been said there's ways round it if you don't make it too obvious. The hotel's plush, the food's good, the DJs and music are second to none imo and the live acts are usually awesome and this time will be no exception. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. See you there matey. The Glenn Jones, Howard Hewett & Phil Perry showcase last year was possibly alongside The Originals and The Temptations the greatest live act I have witnessed. Guest
Dodge has said most everything there! The great thing is you're in really nice surroundings with like minded people all enjoying the same thing. Great atmosphere ! You can go from room to room for music but with the added bonus of the hotel lounge and facilities, 24 Soul TV, plus assuming you're staying at the, venue your room is just upstairs so you can escape too. Good record and CD sales room, fantastic Dee Jay line up, fantastic live line up, good food, great company - there's something really grown up about the whole thing. Come and say hello - I'll be pissed on or possibly under the Expansion stand ! Hi Sean- see you lot there ! Link to comment Social source share
