Guest Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Now THATS a line up Paddy ! I missed the "All Singing" extravaganza last night- stayed awake, then fell asleep then woke up again and couldn't get back to sleep ! Is the show archived or repeated? And on the subject of live stuff - looking forward to Lenny Williams at The Blackpool Hilton next weekend. If he does "Choosing You" (which I suspect he will!) and "You Got Me Running" I will be a very happy man ! Shoo Doo Fu Fu Ooh, indeedy!

Was a good show, what I heard of it amidst beered up soulies battling it out on 'Sing Star' on the Playstation.
Guest SteveC Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 First time I've heard the Milton Bennett and I must say it's one of the best things I've ever heard albeit Miltons vocals are a little strained at times. Lovely discovery Ady.

Now you have started the ball rolling for In Crowd Weekender 2 on May 26 - 28 2006 it looks like the line up is just as strong! Cheers Paddy If you don't mind me asking, why the move to just a couiple of weeks before Clethorpes? I would imagine most with families would struggle to fund two weekenders in such a short space of time. Quality line up though.

I would imagine most with families would struggle to fund two weekenders in such a short space of time. Quality line up though. Hi Chalky I wanted to move the weekender away from the congested October month, and this was the only date that the hotel had for a full 3 day booking. I know Cleeethorpes is normally fully booked as soon as the previous weekender finishes, so I dont expect there to be a clash. Cheers Paddy
pikeys dog Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) Which Falcons line up will be appearing? Edited January 2, 2006 by pikeys dog
Guest Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 YIPEEEEEE... I love the Falcons! Not long to go now either
Guest Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Which Falcons line up will be appearing? Hi We have been negotiating with Sunny Monroe of The Falcons about coming over! I have asked him for the other band members names, soon as he lets me know I will post them up on here. cheers paddy
Ady Croasdell Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Thanks Steve, the Milton Bennett will be on Vol 2 of the GWP CDs, the instrumental is on Vol 1. There's the Devonnes as well and the Jaibi and Larry Banks 'My Life Is No Better' that I and Dave Rimmer play. The Hesitations 'Go Away' that Butch plays and there's some great group stuff from The Shaladons and another male solo from Bobby Penn. They'll all get spun at the 100 Club over the next year.

Bit premature with the line up release?

Guest Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 So as of now, there are no members of the Falcons confirmed, with only one in negotiations? Bit premature with the line up release? Hi Not really sure what you mean, The Falcons are confirmed & contracts have been signed! Maybe I didn't word my reply precisely enough! That is why I can annouce them and why I would not put Millie Jackson on the line up as I have not been able to get a confirmation from her! The leader of The Falcons, Sunny Monroe has signed and confirmed that they will be appearing. Just to clear up any misunderstanding, all the artists I have announced have signed exclusive contracts and have ALL confirmed they will be performing in May at the Northampton Weekender! Once again, with all the artists on the weekender, this will be the only event to see them and they will not be appearing at any other event. I am flying them over from America and after the weekender is finished they will be flying home again, just as Chuck Jackson, The Masqueraders, The Adorables, Betty Boo & Barbara Mercer did in October! Hope this is alright for you. Cheers Paddy

I know the feeling..........I had to choose 2!!!!!!!!!! So Earl and the Masqueraders. I did my best under the circumstances.........if it was down to me, each SSer would get the choice of one tune and do a show based on those........... now that would be cool. Jo
