If you check on YouTube, both labels are represented. The differences are small. It's just that I read somewhere recently about this, and wondered if anyone could come up with a definitive answer.
June 18, 201212 yr That looks real to me. The raised label area looks like the original style, the label script and font looks real, and not reproduced from a photo. There could easily have been a mis-spelling of Galliant done on one of the pressings of the original issue. That occurred many times in those days, especially with labels with names that are easy to mis-spell. I'd bet that that is original.

One has a larger type face with no "vocal" and no double horizontal bars, the others are similar, but not the same as the current Ebay item, making four variations if you include the "Gallant" spelling. No description include references to matrix numbers or the type of plastic. Interesting, but I couldn't say anymore than that. Best Mick
June 18, 201212 yr It would be nice if a bit more information could be given in the topic title and maybe a scan added to the original post, for future reference. I've amended the title and added the scan this time.

For the reason that, i was told it was a Belgium pressing. Unfortunately, it appears Galliant was a name change from Gallant...that both copies are in fact originals. I will try and dig out the info from somewhere, as this has been discussed before. Mike

Mike Thanks Mike. This is proving more difficult than I imagined. I've passed up any number of 'Gallants' 'cos I thought they were all pressings, but not come across a 'Galliant' in reasonable nick for a reasonable price. Such is the fun of searching for records :-). John
