Guest Leonardo Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Probably been asked on here before - searched but couldn't turn up thread. How do you tell the recent bootleg / counterfeit from the real thing? Help appreciated. Thanks.
Dave Pinch Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 was this bootlegged on backbeat years ago?. i did have a vg copy years ago and that was lo-fi compared to the soul city one which in itself came out 2 and a half years after the usa 45. i think its been done recently on backbeat issue and promo with the same label..vinyl is different tho can someone post up the info in the run out on the orig backbeat 45....my copy was vinyl as all backbeat 45`s seem to be but i heard someone say they had a styrene copy?

Dave Pinch Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 HI ALL DAVE you no what I think? buy British, UK SOUL CITY rather than a £3 boot DAVE ive had a few of them and it is a couple of years down the line from the usa release. original vinyl and all that lol 1
Kris Holmes Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 on the recent boot the runout just reads Backbeat 567A & Backbeat 567B. the label is really obvious in real life, the scan is a bit darker than the original & you can see pixels. of course it feels & looks like a modern pressed record.
