Loads were sold on ebay last year (or around 18months+ ago) ...

... They had all come from a Baltimore booking agents files that had been forgotten about for around 40 years.

They were all sold individually & totaled in the region of 750 artist photos (just about all soul acts).

Don't know if the guys who bought em did it with the intention of making copies & selling them on ...

... but so far very few seem to have surfaced in that form.

Do you have any acts in particular as I have digi copies of many old pub shots of soul acts (not too great quality but better than nowt) ?

They were withdrawn from eBay and bought job lot by two Chicago (?) collectors I think.

i think this was a different lot again.

i distinctly bought a bunch from the big Baltimore promotor ebay dump last year.

but now a friend of mine in chicago has a massive pallet of promo pics just chilling in his storage unit from another massive find around the same time.

gilles petard was selling off copies of a few things on ebay semi-recently as well.

The guy was selling he DC agency shots, he did sell some of them but the remainder were bought job lot, I got scans of every one.

The same seller then started selling Popsies collection but was asking too much for many of them.

The guy that was selling all the Baltimore Agency related stuff just dealt in 'printed memorabilia' to my knowledge.

He mainly sells sporting programmes (from Baltimore Colts games & the like), movie & recording star photos & such stuff.

I still get notices from him of stuff he is putting up for sale.
