Mike Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 (edited) later version A very rare clip of Cliff Nobles and his group performing the horse. This clip has the original musicians of the song. Benny Williams on Bass, Bobby Tucker on Guitar, Tommy Soul on Drums. [media=] ahh think someone has dubbed this over the orignal clip here click Edited June 13, 2012 by mike 2
Mike Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 recent talked about at the time one think got a live version somewhere by foundations but not really that good any more...?
Benji Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Worst version I know of is by the Johnson Bros on german-only 45. It's awful, can't bear to even think about it.
Mike Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 ok not strictly love is alright but once this sprang to mind, was never gonna let a chance to mention this mix of the horse and tighten up go by.... hey joe bataan...
Chalky Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Apparently the instrumental was down purely to the Philly musicians, MFSB. Jesse James gave them no credit and no money bar the session fee for it and because of this many of the MFSB then refused to work with Jesse James again. 1
