Codfromderby Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 just been on you tube searching for the above mentioned tune and found tierra a group of white blokes singing not a bad song that stranegly morphs into a version of billy stewarts i do love you, surely its not the "just loving you" people, no female singers in sight but not a bad effort, coincidence two tierras doing soulish stuff ?
Robbk Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 As far as I know there is only one group called Tierra. They are a Latino group from East L.A., who sing Soul music. Their big hit I remember was "Suavecito". I believe that they have one or two female members, or else they add female background singers in many of their recordings. They are very, very well known. So, I doubt that there are 2 different groups called Tierra.
Robbk Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 "Just Loving You" was sung by Tearra. They sound like an African-American Soul Group. "Tierra" in Spanish means "land" in English. Tierra is a Mexican-American (Chicano) group that sings in both Spanish and English. They often sing Soul or Soul-based tunes.

Steve G Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 (edited) The Tearra "just loving you" was East Coast - Manny Campbell. And Tearra was a female she did other stuff as well (Teah Louise I believe). Edited June 12, 2012 by Steve G
