Brav
As some of you know i.m into classic cars and owning a 1972 Triumph 2000 Rally Car. Anyway the following statement was put up on The Club Triumph website asking for help. Dear Sir / Madam, I am an art director for a film due to shoot 15th July - 25 August 2012. The film is set in Manchester and centres around some young people involved in the Northern Soul dance scene - and that is also the name of the film. It is a very low-budget British film but has attracted some interesting names such as Steve Cougan. My job is to try to find cars or vans from the 60's or 70's (up to 1976). We are looking for a number of vehicles so would be interested in hearing from anyone with a car they might be willing to bring along for a day or two of filming. Sadly there is very little money available to pay people (£100 per day) but we will pay fuel costs. It will be great fun though! Thats why I am involved! And also to be part of creating some great British cinema. If you are interested in helping out for a small fee (and lunch!) please contact me ASAP at this email or on the phonenumber below. Please leave a message if I do not answer. Thank you so much for any help you can give. Kind Regards, Vinca Petersen vinca@vinx.co.uk 01843580572 00447772720134 Is this a new film or one thats been mentioned before on S/S Link to comment Social source share
Guest allnightandy
Isn't Steve Coogan backing the other film as well ? Link to comment Social source share
jocko
The fact it is Steve Coogan and it is being filmed in North in those timescales sounds like it is Elaine Constantine's film, but not sure, why don't you ask the person and then you can tell us. Although why the thread should start with oh no not another film when you actually know nothing about it is a little strange. I wonder if everyone says to Martin Scorsese and Francis Coppola, oh no another film about the struggle of Italian Americans, or do they just say I wonder if this will be a good film and worth seeing! SWONS indeed. Link to comment Social source share

Am closing before anyone else jumps on it. Link to comment Social source share
