Guest Droylsdonian Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 A 200 mph version of 'I can't help myself', played out briefly at Casino & elsewhere, mid 70s. Sounded like a 45 on 78, but I *think* it was an actual original recording. Gary somebody, probably white artist, on white label, IIRC. Manic.
Guest Droylsdonian Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Yep, that's it, I obviously DNRC. Many thanks fella. How did anyone dance to that?
Benji Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) That's the reissue/bootleg isn't it? Wasn't the orig on a yellow label? Edited May 29, 2012 by Benji
Ric-tic Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) boot was yellowish [not that yellow] think it was cherub but a plainer label '73 [ maybee there was a later one] Edited May 29, 2012 by ric-tic
Pete S Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 boot was yellowish [not that yellow] think it was cherub but a plainer label '73 [ maybee there was a later one] You're thinking of something else, the only johnny ross bootleg is the white one. The only record I know on Cherub is the bootleg of The Joker.
boba Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Johnny Ross was a member of Baby Huey and the Babysitters. He had awesome photos at his house of the Babysitters posing next to a military tank.
boba Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 also, he has a really nice 70s rare groove 45 on 20th century under the name electric city
