Guest Brooky Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Is this now considered a 'bummer'? I put a post up about Nanette Workman's 'Lady Marmalade' a few weeks ago........looking through the box I recalled that this was another Wigan Spin in about 1976-77.......is this now considered a 'mistake'??? Remember thinking it was a bit 'Poppy' at the time....still bought it though didn't I!!! Does it ever get played out? (It's not that bad)
Pete S Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Not heard it since it was played - was late 1975 - the version that came out on Polydor was totally different to the one on Spring for some reason. I quite like it personally.
p0stscript Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 I have only heard the Polydor version so it would be nice to hear the Spring one - interesting how on the spring label it says "come along way" as opposed to "come a long way" on the Polydor.
boba Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 this group was almost entirely members of shrine groups btw

(It's not that bad) Records of this ilk don't seem to get a playing anywhere anymore, probably a good thing, had it's day at a time when NS was in danger of crossing over to pure pop. 1
