Ady Croasdell Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 It was a 4 track 12" promo only 90 copies and I'm pretty sure the Ace CD is deleted now.
Guest Ivor Jones Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 If anyone can help I would love a copy of art Gentry "This Is My Chance" I believe it was only put out by Adey on a Kent 12" promo [/ quote] i think old father croasdale is losing his marbles a bit! the promo lp in question is an 8 track lp. tracks are John Edwards, tin man & how can i go on without you[corey blake],Sam Dees run to me & meet me halfway[NOT lillie bryant], Loleatta Holloway mrs so & so`s daughter, Little Royals` keep on loving & little royal freeze & Art Gentry this is my chance! The obvious tracks for our scene are both John Edwards[tin man is now on 45] ,Sam Dees & Art Gentry. If you really get stuck i can CDr it for you, all the best ,IVOR JONES
Cunnie Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Hey up Ivor, welcome to the site mate. I'm sure you're gonna fit in great on here, 1st post & you say Ady's losing his marbles! love it. Just in case you're wondering who this is it's Martin Dixon from South Yorks. See you at Prestatyn on the thursday again i hope. Lata, Mart...
Ady Croasdell Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 That's my third mistake on here over the festive period, Ivor's spot on in all respects
Val (Chunky) Posted January 1, 2006 Author Posted January 1, 2006 Thanks for your kind offer of a CDR Ivor but I do actually have access to a copy. You know what it's like I have to own the original. Chunky (Vinyl Junkie)
Guest j-g Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 When is this being reissued on vinyl!!!??? There's numerous compilations of boring shite yet genius records like this only gets pressed in a 90 copy run. Come on! I think it's pretty sad that these unreleashed gems are only on CD.

Possibly but sales are not very high on vinyl and basically companies who pay royalties can't sell enough to break even. Copy your CD track onto acetate if you're that desperate.

Ady Croasdell Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Is there any difference in cutting 500 less cd's and 500 lp's instead, royality wise? No but the origination costs are more and you need to sell more than 500 of anything to make it worthwhile/profitable.
