Hello everyone,

I picked up some 45s last weekend, and one was a record I'd never seen.

It's a white label promo for P.J. for (I've Given You) The Best Years Of My Life, V.I.P. 25062 from 1970.

So, I have a few questions. I did a bit of online searching and didn't find what I was looking for.

1) Who the heck was P.J.?

2) Did this record make it past the promo stage?

Many thanks!

P.J. = Patti Jerome

Yes, it was issued on V.I.P. in '71 backed with "It Takes A Man To Teach A Woman How To Love" which also came out on Tamla as the the flip to TLC (Tender Loving Care)

She was the wife of Harry Balk who set up Detroit's Inferno & Impact labels amongst others.

Urban myth that she was Patti Jo of "Make Me Believe In You" fame.

A whole write up on Facebook page ..
