I gave up trying to think of an original title for this one. Forty brilliant tracks this time folks, only a handful of these have previously appeared on my podcasts (Joanie Sommers and the Yum Yums crop up frequently -Yum Yums is my all time favourite Northern sound). A couple are requests (I wouldn't have chosen the Del Larks for a start!), a couple are things I think more people should hear (Robert Plant's incredible UK stormer for instance), some are things I'd forgotten how brilliant they were (Imperial C's, Voices, Ruby etc) and there's enough super-rarities to keep everyone happy here I think, along with a smattering of oldies and even a couple of cheapies.

That's a fabulous collection of sounds Pete - right up my street - I'm going to really enjoy listening to this one :D

I especially love Nancy Butts on Flaming Arrow (just perfect), the Sharp-etts on Perma-Hit - and The Young Folk on Mar-V-Lus - wow! That is one of the best, cheap records ever made

Top class!

Cheers

Totally agree Richard, the Young Folk record has been one of my favourites for over 20 years and it really doesn't sound out of place in the company of these £1000 plus records, utter genius.

This is one of the best podcasts I've done this year, there'll be a downloadable version up very soon.

That Robert Plant record - f*cking hell what a stormer, shame I bought a counterfeit of it!
