Guest Baz Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 (edited) Cant see nothing wrong with it......he has stated no reserve! quote "dont know the value you tell us" Edited December 22, 2005 by Baz
Guest Netspeaky Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 (edited) Cant see nothing wrong with it......he has stated no reserve! quote "dont know the value you tell us" as far as im aware its the tenth one that has been listed #10 in top discripion. I agree nothing wrong with his starting price this time, just letting people know he most probably has quite a few, or so I have been told. I'm still willing to pay the $500 I emailed him originally, but I've also been here my self and bid silly money then found out that people knew that there were copies about and I could have saved myself money. At end of day people can make their own choice with what they pay for a record, it's just makes sense that the decision is based on some knowledge of what is happening out there. Modernsoulsucks Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Cant see nothing wrong with it......he has stated no reserve! quote "dont know the value you tell us" Completely agree. There are how many copies of Clara Hardy over here? How many copies of Ringleaders,Constellations,Wade Flemons,Dena Barnes etc etc. Demand will provide the going rate and right now $400 is not much by Northern standards pricewise. If you hang on you may get a copy for $50 but then you may not. ROD

You never hear it played out and I'm glad about that.

Herd it loads Butch/Mick H/Dave Vanner/ Wayne Sharman (till he sold it)..................Give the instrumental flip a listen not a keen istrumental fan but this has got balls
Mark Bicknell Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Personally think it's crap, another rarity over quallity. You never hear it played out and I'm glad about that. Like i said had it a bit back, was a very hard record to find until now it would seem, very hard record to play, totally agree with the rarity over quality comment which as we all know is pretty common on this scene...i.e. if enough people hype something, 'kings new cloths' ethic kind of deal then it's a little bit like it must be good if x,y,z say so and play it, some follow, some make their own minds up and others tell it like it is. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
Guest Netspeaky Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 (edited) Quite often the reason records are NOT played out is simply is because they are RARE, and the Main DJ's don't have them. I remember Mark having his years ago, and I most probably bugged him to play it, when he did I was most probably only guy on floor. Does it make it a quality record, we shouldn't go there as it's a bag of worms. Quality = Full Dance Floor or Quality = Sold a Million or Quality = Rarity - Sold 1 copy or Quality = I love this record don't care what anyone else says. or Quality = Other's say this is quality so it must be. or Quality = What went into the record Etc. Maybe another thread developing here. Edited December 22, 2005 by Netspeaky

Ted Massey Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I first heard it played by Shifty at one of Wilkos does in Nottingham at least 10 years ago
