I must say, I though the sleeve looked a little unproffessional etc... makes you wonder what the quality of the sound is like then??? Might give it a miss :(

Curtis Liggins recommend track, copies turned up about six months or so back, I think they have now disappeared, so except to pay top $ again, unless you are lucky.

Just how good is that Devotions track? :( any info Chalky?

Lenny T

It's on Nation goes for around £1500. Butch first played mid 80's cover up as Magic Tones - A Lovers Plea. Sure there is a sound file in Sounds. If not I'll sort one out later.

Could'nt see it on Soulclub mate as you say JM has a 2 minute soundbite, wonderful hairs on the back of the neck stuff, do you know anyone who plays it out? :(

Mick H got a copy few others too. Used to hear it pretty often not so long ago.....not so much lately.

Devotions track - played regularly by Kitch when up here and, also, think one of the Walls brothers from Glenrothes has a copy.

Guys I posted the full version of the Devotions up about a year ago, it might still be knocking about somewhere, if not I'll send it again (it was in the same batch as of sounds as Esther Grant)

If this man says there's a 100 copies only, I'm sure you can trust him. I bought his "one and only copy of Royal Esquires" off him for $1000

Ref the Devotions didnt someone buy it of Soulbowls cheap section for £6 cause he collected the Nation label and that how it was uncovered, sure it was someone from Scotland this would have been late 80's early 90's

carl fortnum has a copy and Frank from Derby

That would have been Mr Steve Walls c/o Glenrothes, think it was definitely 80's as he had for a few years before being uncovered, can't remember if it was Soul Bowl though.

Cheers

Jock

PS Ted not forgotten the cd, just been really busy with work, will get it to you next week at latest.
