Premium Stuff Posted November 9, 2012 Author Posted November 9, 2012 Just reviving this one as I'm still interested Cheers Richard
Chalky Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I can't think of it being played but like Franc says doesn't mean it hasn't. The "Wont You Come On Home" side could be a play on the R&B side of the scene.
Guest trickbag Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Won't You Come On Home by Harry Reid | Song | Free Music, Listen ... www.myspace.com/harryreidmusic/.../won-t-you-come-on hear it here, ace records Dave Hamilton's Detroit Soul R&B buffs will no doubt be impressed by the inclusion of Harry Reid’s Temple single, ‘Won’t You Come On Home’ from 1964, another long-time want for me, and as yet a desire unquenched oh and the price which i didnt include in my last post, End price: USD 32 ricky.
Ady Croasdell Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Unfortunately whoever engineered the Temple sessions, with the exception of the Frenchie & The Chessmen single didn't have a clue. The master tapes are about as bad as the 45s which ain't great. Both sides of Harry Reid are OK for very early soul but I doubt if any have been played out. Great for us Dave Hamilton collectors though £100 sounds about right. Ady
Premium Stuff Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 Thanks Ady - great info - much appreciated Richard
