Markw Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Andy Hutchings played this last night at Go Go Children Bristol. An all time favourite of mine, just how rare is it?
John A Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 very, but there has been 3 through ebay over the last year, wish I had one!

Markw Posted May 6, 2012 Author Posted May 6, 2012 Kenny Burrell did have one Mark dunno who it went to though if/ when he was selling tunes. Guess that would have come from Shifty when he sold up all his big big tunes (Mello Souls etc).
Guest JIM BARRY Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 wasn't it pat brady that first played this slab of class?
Mark Jones Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Yep Pat Lewis - Peace of mind. Happy Stafford memories...still adore this!
KevH Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Come over to Tadcaster on 26th,you will probably here it there. One of my all time faves since i heard it down 100,spun by Butch.
Geoff B Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Who else has copies? Butch (of course), but who else? Fred Krol has one. atb,Geoff. 1
Quinvy Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 That answers the question, who got the ones that went through ebay then. Fred Krol and John Parker. Just one we don't know about, unless Richard Lewis had the other?
Chalky Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Not sure about the third other ebay one you are talking about but know of at least two other DJ's with a copy.
Chalky Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Yes, Butch and Mick H. Butch has already been mentioned so wan't referring to him. Carl Fortnum has one too unless he sold it.
Agentsmith Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Yes, Butch and Mick H. correct on the latter, mick had kenny's copy. fortunate myself that i have a crystal clear recording on cd courtesy of the seller!
Agentsmith Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 incidentally, a nice little aside to this.....mr. pugh is a great admirer of this tune and according to the tale, butch told him if he ever sold it, john would get first preference....i think ive got more chance of collecting my bus pass
Prophonics 2029 Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Bus pass, more like a telegram from the queen for me hundredth.
Ady Potts Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 A record I've always associated with Carl Fortnum. Regular play for him at the Capital soul club, also remember him playing it at the Ritz in Manchester, it sounded real good at the Ritz. This was before Kenny B had one when it was still a couple of known copies.
