Russ Yeah, can definitely hear that, Russ......the copy I have here was found out west and I've discussed it with friends in the know, and we concluded west coast at the time. But nothing confirmed, not by a long shot.

boba Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 it doesn't sound islands to me, it sounds like a white garage group. i got a copy 7-8 years ago in one of craig moerer's first auctions. at the time the publishing was in BMI online. It's not now. I don't remember where it went, I think it was somewhere in california.
Dave Pinch Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 difinately a white group, fronted by a husband and wife team i`d guess. the flip is more rockier
Guest sigher the gutter snype Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 nope they are not a white group, ive been in touch with the group for about 4 years, just waiting for them to dig out some copies, they just havent located them amongst the storage. really nice guy whos son also is a producer over here in the u.k. the label name is a mix of all the initials of the band members... not that is going to help you much!! not west coast either
Greg Belson Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 not west coast either OK, that's great info.......I'm not interested in tracking them down mate, so no worries there. Just thought they could have been west coast as it seems a few of the copies I've heard of were found there. Cheers!
Guest sigher the gutter snype Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 thats cool greg...believe me not worth tracking down, think ive spent so much on phone calls i could have paid full wack and got a copy, not as much fun i know, ....will check details to see his city, cant recall of hand
Greg Belson Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 east coast Cheers mate......appreciate you taking the time!
boba Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 nope they are not a white group, ive been in touch with the group for about 4 years, just waiting for them to dig out some copies, they just havent located them amongst the storage. getting off topic, but once my friend and I paid a label owner's family's back rent on their storage space (like $450) and spend a whole saturday cleaning it out. It was extra disgusting, they actually had put FOOD in there, wtf? There were like bags of baby carrots that were just a brown mushy liquid. And they looked at every piece of garbage we pulled out acting like they needed it. Anyways, at the end there were no records in the storage unit. 1
boba Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 east coast Thanks for filling in the information btw. Is there a reason you're not giving the city?
George G Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 (edited) I don't really think much of the record but looking at the writer names and label (and listening) I can guess their general background. I will be curious to know if I am right if the story is revealed. Edited May 9, 2012 by George G

Food? yawn.....feces, body fluids...now we're talkin!
boba Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Food? yawn.....feces, body fluids...now we're talkin! have you seen poop in a storage unit?
George G Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 (edited) have you seen poop in a storage unit? yes, although it was not directly related to a record search. dried blood also (indeterminant species). Ask people who have done storage salvage...fun! There should a be a 'auto bingo' like game for record digging.....see how many of these you encounter: cat urine spiders mouse/rat leavings smoke/fire damage crusty (food) gunk crazy guy who wants to show you porn crazy guy political/conspiracy rants crazy guy racist/anti-Semitic rants etc... I have experienced most of these but most were in basements and not storage units. I got hooked up with the guy with the most ridiculous collection I went through because in the 70s he managed a porno theater that my friend was a busker for. It was super hot and we were in his basement and he was in his bedroom above us shirtless (he didn't have an air conditioner) and his whole bedroom was lined with copied VHS tapes. I don't know if they were classic movies or porn but it was creepy. Afterwards he made us drive him to the grocery store and back and he smashed his cart into my car, scratching it. He died like a year ago and big Chicago collector Bob Stallworth got all of his records. 1
