Chalky Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Sounds like the Just Brothers - Go On And Laugh. One of Butch's records. One off acetate I believe.
Jumpinjoan Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Just Bros - Go On & Laugh Old Butch biggie, unissued. Absolutely incredible tune.
jocko Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Butch's Just Brothers it sounds like, unbelievable awesome track, top ten all material but unloved by the masses, due to piss poor taste, in my opinion. Top top track, didn't know anyone else had legit copy of that..... 1

Pete S Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I put a perfect quality recording of that on at least 2 podcasts I did. You should try listening to them sometime
Guest Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 not worth it Pete ... apparently we have piss poor taste
sir cumference Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Just Bros - Go On & Laugh Old Butch biggie, unissued. Absolutely incredible tune. Remember Butch saying it was the most he`d paid for a record at the time.(Not much by today`s rates!)
jocko Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 not worth it Pete ... apparently we have piss poor taste Its a scientific fact if you don't like this you have piss poor taste, and I think you will find all the evidence you need is in site below. Problem? Other than your incessant enjoyment of moaning about everyone and everything on here? www.factsforjustifyingstatingopinionsthatdaretousesarcastichumour.com
jocko Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I put a perfect quality recording of that on at least 2 podcasts I did. You should try listening to them sometime See post below yours and my response. And if I do listen to them I do so in a darkened room with no witnesses to make sure no-one knows I think you have decent taste sometimes! (Sometimes obviously and only sometimes I feel the need to emphasise!) 1
Chalky Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Remember Butch saying it was the most he`d paid for a record at the time.(Not much by today`s rates!) He got it from John Vincent didn't he? Remember John telling me he offered it to Richard Searling who said it was too good for the Northern Crowd or words to that effect.
Pete S Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) Here you go https://www.mixcloud....lassic-dancers/ Over half the tracks here are unreleased or alternative versions, I've dug really deep to bring you some stuff that nobody has ever broadcast before - some of the acetates are available elsewhere, most are not. To add to the unreleased tracks, there's a smattering of all time Northern Soul classics to enjoy. So there you go, I promised you something special for this weekend, I hope this is it!
