Has anyone ever heard a female version of this tune? Kenny Burrel was playing a male version a while back under the name Sammy Fain. I know that was an acetate as I have one but there would appear to be another version out there by the Lullabyes on Dimension records.

came across this old post when doing some research on the Lullabyes version. any more info found out on the male version? I think it is pretty doubtful that it is Sammy Fain (who was the writer and one of the producers of the version for the lullabyes), but more likely Gene Redd ... he co-produced. according to the info that i have gathered, the song was written for The Lullabyes (aka Baby Jane/Rockabyes aka DeVaurs) by Fain.

The flip of this is an awful version of "My Heart Cries for You" (porgy/monarchs).

yeh would love to hear the male version if anyone has it.
