Nickinstoke Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Does anyone know of any dealers who handle soul magazines and books? I'm trying to help a friend to deal with some of her late husband's collection of music-related items, and she has a load of quality magazines and books. The mags include 60s titles such as "Home of the Blues", very early "Blues and Soul", 70s fanzines like "Soul Symbol", "Deeper and deeper" and "Souled out", the French mag "Soul Bag", and a load of doo-wop/rock'n'roll mags including "Who put the bomp", "Time Barrier Express" and "Rumble". I'd have them myself but I've been banned from bringing any more mags home! Are there any dealers anyone knows of who'd be interested in this sort of stuff? Thanks in anticipation Nick
Stillsoulin Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Francis T in kidderminster might be interested, Rob.
Mike Lofthouse Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Manship has been auctioning some of those early B&S and HOTB one at a time - one on there now - so be sure not to give them away Nick.
Nickinstoke Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Thanks for those suggestions, folks. I hadn't thought of Mr T, great idea, and I agree I should try JM too. Any other thoughts anyone?
dthedrug Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 HI I COLLECT ALL THAT STUFF, and have a few wants, if you have a list I can price them up for you as a dealer will not give much, and if you have something I can give a better deal, as a collector I have a few spares of most stuff, however I am after BLUES& SOUL #2 I WILL PM YOU DAVE

Still working on a listing, but I'll definitely let you have it when it's done - I'd much rather they go to genuine enthusiasts than general dealers.
