Think I might have just discovered that my sam fletcher is a boot. chicago area copy with boxed logo.

Any info on the dead wax ?

According to JM 5th.

Original chicago Yellow issue boxed copy is vinyl with a stamped ARP matrix, counterfeit has a scratched in MR matrix.

as far as i know the only boots were from belgium pressed in vinyl using the white demo label, whereas the originals were pressed on styrene

According to JM, if the MR is stamped, not scratched, then it's ok. I have one of these (white demo on styrene) but it has no ARP matrix. Another variation?
