'You've Got The Love I Need' is a favourite.

think I just got rid of nearly all my UT 45s because I figured they weren't that good & didn't need to keep them.

the only ones I kept were "You've Got The Love I Need" & their version of "Ball Of Confusion".

I personally only have the one 45 on Gordy "You've got the love I need", but I just found this on you tube and thought worth posting for the different dance skits if nothing else!

Their version of 'Save My Love For A Rainy Day' is another cracker - though 'You + Me = Love' is as good as it gets of its type (and is my fav by them).

Naively, a group who's material I overlooked at the outset, but like "You got the love I need" and their version of "Save my love for a rainy day" immensely

I haven't seen a zillion soul train episodes so i'm not the best judge, but that is the best soul train line i've ever seen. i like the track too.

i never flipped over "smiling faces".

What was motown's intention with the group? I always thought they were supposed to be a toned down and slightly more rockish version of parliament. Obviously by the late 70s LP covers they had the full outer space parliament ripoff thing going on. And so many of their songs were covers of other songs.

Were they norman whitfield's main product at motown in the 70s?

remember buying smiling faces sometimes, from a shop on hallgate , doncaster, think the shop sold electrical applainces downstairs, and musical instraments upstairs, but sold records as well ,always had the latest tamla motown records in, not just the chart stuff, always played the b side at home, great sound.

i think that honour went to the Temptations.

I'm trying to figure out a way to edit my post that makes me not look like an idiot and you look bad but can't.
