Theothertosspot Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Just noticed this on ebay, and going very well by the looks of bidding. Apologies, can't do the linking thing, however, if you highlight and right click you can get there. https://www.ebay.com/itm/LISTEN-NORTHERN-SOUL-POPCORN-GEORGE-LEMONS-BOBBY-KLINE-/330710618091?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item4cffe38feb
Chalky Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Just over £80. Jeez are they plain daft these buyers? They can get a carver or acetate done for £30 or less.

Chalky Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Folk are too lazy Chalky either that or they haven't a clue what they are doing...which I find hard to believe these days.
Guest Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 nice sales info showing original lables but does state repro
Steve G Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 either that or they haven't a clue what they are doing...which I find hard to believe these days. .....or they think they can pass it off on a deck as OV....It's such an awful record, I am sure we'll spot if someone new starts playing it in their spots.....: 1
Dave Abbott Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 either that or they haven't a clue what they are doing...which I find hard to believe these days. You are right Chalky. I think any one buying any record for that much money knows exactly what they are doing - let alone one that is clearly a repo-boot. What they probably haven't got a clue about is how to get a carver done and more important haven't got the access to decent scans to put on them. I find it sickening...probably coming to a soul nite near y'all folks
Chalky Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 You are probably right Dave with the "coming to a soul night near you soon". Trouble is anyone peering over the decks looks at something that appears to be real. 1
Dylan Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I noticed this earlier today, is that a real george lemmons scan he has used or is it the scan from the boot ? the bobby kline side looks mint but GL looks well worn like an old record. and I agree with steve GL is a terrible record.
