Suinoz Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Could anyone please shed any light on a couple of 45's I have and can't find in Manships guide. I think the one by the 5 Royales must be extremely rare. I know I have never seen or heard ot before. The 5 Royales, Think c/w I'd better make a move. This is on a King complimentary deejay special. The label is cream in colour and there is a list of the group members plus a little story of the group and it's music. The ' THINK ' side is pure R'NB, a bit like Little Willie John 'Im shakin'. The other side is more doo wop. I will be putting this in my sales but whats it worth ? Jimmy Soul, Twistin' Matilda c/w I can't hold out any longer. It's on the SPQR label. Hank Ballard and the Midnighters, the switch-a-roo c/w the float. The Float is pure R'NB. On the blue King label. Nothing about any of these in Manships guide. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Tony. OZ.
Guest brianw70 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Hi Tony , have an issue of the 5 royales on king . not an expensive one im afraid 15-20 tops although dont know about the demo. atb,Brian
Guest john s Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) Jimmy Soul is worth about a fiver if you can find someone who wants it - they are always a few on ebay. Same with the Hank Ballard - I think the reason they're not in Manship's guide is that they're not worth anything! Edited March 25, 2012 by john s
boba Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 also those king bio labels are on a lot of promotional king releases of that era
