Is an SSCDT thing Dave. Stars of Dollywood apparently :D:D (Down to Shane :D )

And speaking of Shane (off topic only briefly) his 'I know a celebrity' statements hit a new low last Friday night, when he said he knew the poor innocent Asian guy beaten up by the Leeds players.

To be fair though, Shane did talk to him.

He asked him for onion bhajis and salad. unsure.gif

Why is Robert Knight "Crap"?

Everlasting Love (copied by Love Affair) - massive at the Wheel

Love on a Mountain Top - massive at the Torch

Branded - massive at Wigan.

He did Somewhere on his LP. Even that was good.

You may not like his music, but I think Crap is out of order. We need to respect and revere "our" artists, not disrespect them.

Any criticism of their work should be forbidden. Every soul record is good. Dissenters must be purged. Exterminate! Exterminate!

I suppose describing someone as crap is a bit over the top, but I'm not into revering people no matter who they are.

Not sure if it qualifies as and old classic but Esther Phillips's version of "Home is where the hatred is" is pure class.

I don't know if the Vontastic's version of 'Daytripper' would come under this banner would it?

Love to see you or FB standing at the bar next to Robert Knight at Soul Trip USA and not talking to him cos he's crap, or cos you don't revere anyone.

Billy Stewart did a good version of Secret Love.

Johnny Nash did 'Ol' man river' and though not a dancer, the vocals are superb.

Loadsa versions of stuff like 'Fever' and 'Feeling good'

Billy Stewart did great Ol Man River on Chess.

Nice version of Danny Boy by Patti & Bluebells on Parkway.

Happy New Year mate!!
