n.b. I know we've had lots of material from the US trade mags but I'm going over them with a fine tooth comb this time - I was astonished to find trade adverts for Carol Fredericks (Stonel) and Nat Hall (Loop), records we presumed were underpromoted mega-flops

I love this record, and recently found it on soul source along with the interesting facts about the group  and label. Will be playing this in my set at ghetto soul club in southampton on the 31st march !

Still used extensively by photographers and many others who require higher resolution images in a non-compressed format.

yeah, when anyone asks me for a scan for a CD or article, they almost always want a tiff file

That's because tiff files aren't as 'compressed' as jpegs ..... so they tend to be less distorted & reproduce better (in CD booklets / on album covers).

That's why I specifically mentioned that tiffs were used by those "who require higher resolution images in a non-compressed format"!

Another Billboard upload ...........

Chris Calloway/Something else... easy beat, smooth rocker loaded with teen commercialism.

Sounds rather different to how it would be described today - that's if anyone could agree on the terms and genres that could be used!

I'm pretty sure Roburt mentioned it first.

Just messing with you. :)
