A fellow "Don't pity me" hater. :D

Load of tripe imho.

But the dancefloor dictates otherwise.

Just cannot believe that some people don't like that record. One of the ten best records ever made. Still, I don't like a lot of records other people like...

You are correct Pete.

Its only opinions.

No one is right or wrong.

The funny thing is I slated this record last night at the Ronnie McNeir event when it was played.

But I was certainly outnumbered by the people who loved it.

Some records you love from the first time you hear them - as it was for me with Joanie.

There must be something in certain records that you either love or hate, like a lot of people hate the Joe Jama record but can't say exactly why.

Now it's common knowledge that I don't like the Carstairs record, but thats because, in my opinion, the lead singer is shouting and out of tune.

I can maybe understand some people not liking the vocals on the Joanie record but the backing track is phenomenal, wish I had an inst of it.

100% agree with this one, on a Northern basis, However overall she sounds like Lily Savage with an Americanised accent, and as long as you remember the rules, I am right and you are wrong, we can close this one of.......

Well, I love it! And just about all of it too! There's maybe 1, or 2 things at the most that I'd replace if pushed, but it is exactly what Pete says it is in the description, can't argue with that.

Another nice one mate

Hi Pete

Looks good to me too, alot of my fave oldies there too. Wish I'd kept the Royal Robbins, had it twice as well! Doh! Needed cash at the time though.

Gonna give it a play later.

Thanks for posting it up

Cheers

I was saying it was fantastic! I meant this bit of the description....

NO MODERN, NO CROSSOVER, NO OBSCURITIES, JUST NO NONSENSE STORMERS THE LOT OF 'EM - AND YES I'VE USED SEVERAL OF THESE BEFORE ON PREVIOUS PODCASTS BUT I JUST LOVE THESE TRACKS. PROPER NORTHERN SOUL.

Not the 'played out oldies' bit!

:D
