Guest ddac1982 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I have a question maybe someone can help me with - I have a Dee Edwards Tuba 1706 with the same song listed on both sides (You Say You Love Me). I just can't find any info on this 45 with the same title, but according to many sites the flip is suppose to be Tired Of Staying Home. HELP?
Windlesoul Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) Tired of staying home is the correct flip, penned by Hanks, Bell & Robinson. Are saying you just have a duplicate label error, or you have YSYLM actual track on both sides? Edited March 21, 2012 by mark w.

HELP? do both sides play the same or is it just the the same label on each side ? maybe there were single sided demos pressed ?
Guest ddac1982 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 The correct song is on one side, but another different tune is on the other side.
Dylan Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 The correct song is on one side, but another different tune is on the other side. does it play tired of staying home or a different song to that ? i'm still confused................
Guest ddac1982 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Sorry for the confusion, the flip side is Tired Of Staying Home. The labels are identical on both sides and state You Say You Love Me. This 45 is a duplicate error of the labels - not a promo!
boba Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Sorry for the confusion, the flip side is Tired Of Staying Home. The labels are identical on both sides and state You Say You Love Me. This 45 is a duplicate error of the labels - not a promo! this is a not-uncommon pressing error with records. Unless it's like a beatles record, it won't increase the value and potentially can decrease it. I have some like this, it's annoying to keep track of which is the real correct side.
Sjclement Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 However the matrix numbers in the run out groove will not be the same
Prophonics 2029 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 (edited) I had a record with the same b- side labeled for both..... bined it in the end.... Two plus frickin two. Made me so angery always plying the wrong side. Edited March 22, 2012 by Prophonics 2029
Prophonics 2029 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 In my dreams!!!!!!!!, was a young jessie record.
Premium Stuff Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Superb record and one of my fave slower Detroit things. Have it in four different formats Two white demos on vinyl - one has the title on one line, the other on two. One blue vinyl issue One rare blue styrene copy with Man's credit on label if I remember correctly. Cheers Richard

Windlesoul Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 (edited) Have both hers and the delicates (pulsar). I do dig her version ( also this was the first one I heard and collected ) but must admit I prefer the delicates especially for the intro. Both just different I suppose.
