Picked two copies up for 10p each on one of my regular trips around the 2nd hand record shops of Liverpool during the early to mid 70s. 1
Otis Smith Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Dennis, frank(jackson) had two copies, also, and after a bit of heart wrenching teasing, let me have a copy. All the best Nigel A.
Denbo Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Dennis, frank(jackson) had two copies, also, and after a bit of heart wrenching teasing, let me have a copy. All the best Nigel A. We used to shop around Liverpool together most weekends. I remember him having one copy, not two. Not saying he didn't have two, just that I didn't know he had two. We toyed with the idea of getting it played on the Northern scene back in the early 70s but somehow never got round to it.

Linda Kay on columbia Terry on fontana others that went onto bigger things, sam jones lorraine silver paula parfit Yes, that's very true. Which suited me fine, as I was a UK label only collector. Picked up Paula Parfit myself, along with little gems like John Andrews on Parlophone, Calum Bryce Demo on Conder, Tiny Topsy on Pye International and Parlophone, etc. All for 10p each. Aaaah, them were the days.

The Calum Bryce is a Mod / Psych thing. Sold it for £500 a few years back. Not a bad profit eh? Seen a couple go since then for around £600 to £700!!!
Petedillon Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Oh the old shop selling seccy hand vinyl! There were quite a few here in Leeds in the late 60's...one we went to had a wealth of stuff we spent up on the friday and went back the next week and it had been knocked down!!! all them 45's under a pile of rubble.. I tried to get people interested in the Nicky James around Central/Wigan time(I had a centre-less copy then).its so right for that period I think..but no luck. 1
