Lee Fields Glasgow Possible Cancellation Alert

Just heard from my brother that this gig is on the point of being cancelled due to lack of ticket sales.

Time for the word to be spread thru the scottish soul fraternity and people to buy tickets now.

I also heard "if anyone is going to the san francisco show in may" that it got rescheduled..you might want to look into that..just a heads up..btw I heard it was rescheduled for 1 day sooner than the original date??

Ticket sales were slow for Sharon Jones, and that ended up packed out. In fact, I was amazed to see it so busy (maybe 6 or 700 people?).

Promoters always get twitchy about pre-sales, but people never bother buying tickets unless it's going to sell out... which in an ideal universe Lee Fields would do, every time!

Lee Fields played in Glasgow about 8-10 years ago, gig was superb and the place was rammed. Sharon Jones last month was packed to the rafters. I don't think Lee Fields will be cancelled, I know plenty who are going to attend, they just need to buy their tickets earlier to make sure this superb vocalist visits Glasgow. I remember Parliament cancelling playing at the Glasgow Apollo due to poor ticket sales in the 70ts, no repeat please. Jock, we will give you a run home.
