info please on the above sound got a copy of this on the patches label,not seen it before ,boot or what?

i always considered mine as an original as it was bought from soul sam (m.b.) along with the pieces of eight and kenny smith back 1977 at casino. all had his name on. dont think sam would have a bootleg. a florida press and i have only seen a handfull for sale. it is so widely available in so many countries i would wonder why it may have been booted. and its not in johns booty book

you do not think for one minute i would not have checked johns book to see if the patches copy is in there. i wouldnt have needed to recheck because i actually KNOW it isnt. i have the copy on patches. there is a photo of the gm bootleg

1) AS I SAID, i have always "CONSIDERED" mine an original and my reasoning behind that.

2) ONCE AGAIN, AS I SAID, i dont THINK soul sam would have had a boot leg.

3) THEN, AS I SAID, because of its availability in most countries i often wondered why it may have been booted at all, evidence of THIS ONE being in the book. i mean, why would you bother, similarly with bobby freeman...3QUID....why bother.

4) ONCE AGAIN, AS I SAID, it is not in johns bootleg book so yet again maybe its not a bootleg.

i am still out on this myself.............

John Manship has quoted on here recently to disregard the old bootl guide as it is now 10 years old and the correct info is in the 5th edition,hope this clarifies things

like i said, read the question. .....there is a clue as to the book we are discussing.

clue 1 . there is a photo of the gm lable.

to my recollection there are no photos in the boot guide from 2000 ish that i have on my lap, although it is one second since i looked at it. dont you just love this scene where we can squabble over a 5 quid record and still laffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

still no answer really to my original query,is it a boot or not,somebody on here must have the definitive answer,with all the stored knowlage avaiable to the members on here, lol sammy

It's a boot.

The only other record on this label I know if is a super rare bootleg of Willie Hutch - Love Runs Out, which we discussed about a year ago.

Just cos it's not in the Manship guide doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
