Guest soulpeeper Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Miss walking out the manchester ritz on a morning after a bank holiday niter with ears ringing. Loved that sound system in there.
Winnie :-) Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Middleton, Bretby, Winsford, Sheridans, Keele and the Rocket, loved them all, I know it wasn't to everybody's taste but the set up at Bretby was brilliant, least time spent on the dance floor with people holding beers. Should also give Prestwich a mention. Also Tony's in Blackburn. I suppose petrol was a lot cheaper a few years ago

Winnie :-) Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Tonys New Empress Blackburn Winsford Civic Derby Assembly Rooms ( when Pat Brady run it) Bretby nr Burton Keele ( when run by Neil Clows) I'd forgotten about Derby, only went a couple of times, but really liked the venue. Also forgot to mention Manchester Ritz, great atmosphere, however I'm one of those who didn't like that bouncing dance floor.......soz

Chris Anderton Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 god i miss Albrighton that last allnighter was the bollocks For a certain period during the late 90s,Albrighton, as a soul night, was leading the way in breaking "new" records on the UK soul scene...whan the nighter crowd came in for the nighters they realised what they had been missing! I still miss it today, never been replaced or bettered. Chris
