TONYS,, AFTER A FOUR HUNDRED MILE DRIVE VIA SCOTLAND, THEN BACK TO LONDON THE FOLLOWING DAY.

KEELE, THOUGH THE CAR PARK COULD DO WITH GRITTING NOW AND AGAIN AS I NEARLY WENT ARSE OVER TIT AS I RODE OUT ONE DECEMBER MORNING, LLANDUDNO, FIRST TME ID HEARD JUMPING JOAN AT AN ALLNIGHTER. BRETBY, KIM WESTON AND BRENDA HOLLOWAY, MAD MICK NIGE SMITH SOULIE AND LYNN ED BATTIN JANE CARTER , DAVE HAWKINS AND DAVE BELL AND SAM MOORE NEEDLESS TO SAY. MORECAMBE CARLETON CLUB, SHERIDANS MADNESS, THE RITZ CRACKERS, AND I KNOW ITS OVER TEN YEARS BUT THE GRIFFIN HOTEL IN LEEDS GOT ME STARTED AGAIN AFTER ABOUT SIXTEEN YEARS OF SLEEPS.

Sorry, but i didnt mention winsford, ( bob hinsley wearing a fez, ed appearing behind him wearing an elephants head with a firemans helmet ). , , or maybe it was another night when bob was wearin the fez. . Whatever, i had some brilliant nights there too.

The outlaws club in Erturia near stoke, the cleanest bkers colours ive ever seen and not a motorsickle in sight, but a brilliant atmosphere , and free to get in.The signs in the ,er "recreation room " made it like a carlsberg ad for reprobates!

nowt to do with soul, but the "underground ", courtesy of ms jezebelle jagger near san rafael in ibiza. another "free do" that didnt know when to shut.

Miss walking out the manchester ritz on a morning after a bank holiday niter with ears ringing. Loved that sound system in there.

Middleton, Bretby, Winsford, Sheridans, Keele and the Rocket, loved them all, I know it wasn't to everybody's taste but the set up at Bretby was brilliant, least time spent on the dance floor with people holding beers. Should also give Prestwich a mention. Also Tony's in Blackburn. I suppose petrol was a lot cheaper a few years ago :D

Just thought of a couple from my neck of the woods

Piercebridge nighters at the George

Bishop Auckland Rugby Club nighters (only managed to go to a couple of these awesome music played)

I'd forgotten about Derby, only went a couple of times, but really liked the venue. Also forgot to mention Manchester Ritz, great atmosphere, however I'm one of those who didn't like that bouncing dance floor.......soz :D

Cheers Kev, I thought he was but wasn't quite sure, hadn't even realised the last one was so long ago, time really does fizz along.

god i miss Albrighton that last allnighter was the bollocks

For a certain period during the late 90s,Albrighton, as a soul night, was leading the way in breaking "new" records on the UK soul scene...whan the nighter crowd came in for the nighters they realised what they had been missing!

I still miss it today, never been replaced or bettered.
