Suinoz Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I know there has been arguments about the relatively high cost of postage aired on this forum B4 but i received a 45 from the U.S. today which confirmed just how expensive it is to post from there. When i won the record a couple of weeks ago the seller quoted the postage at 25 dollars registered. I thought ' NO WAY ' and was ready to ask the seller for a part refund once the record arrived ( as suggested on a recent thread here ), but when i got it today the postage sticker said 21.78 dollars. So the seller allowed 3.22 for the packaging which i am happy with as it was in a brand new carton and not a re-used one as you so often see. The package was sent via U.S.P.S. Tony. OZ.

OZ. there are different services. costs have gone up but first class air is like $7-$8 for a 45 and registering adds $11.50. If he used a more expensive service (priority international?) or shipped you heavier things it might have been more expensive.
