boba Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Today I got an edwin starr 45 I hadn't seen before. It's this record listed on soulfulkindamusic: A.S.K. Sh-29116 - Hit Me With Your Love (2-4-6-8-10) (5:23) / Over And Over (5:11) - 1982 (12" Release) Except it's a 45, not a 12". Does anyone care about this sort of thing? A-side is okay disco, B-side is a ballad. thanks, Bob
Steve Plumb Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Hi Bob Yeah, I have this somewhere on 45 (Purple Label) Seem to remember that the B side is quite a lovely little track too! Cheers Steve
boba Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 Hi Bob Yeah, I have this somewhere on 45 (Purple Label) Seem to remember that the B side is quite a lovely little track too! Cheers Steve yeah, i definitely liked the b-side much better than the a-side but i have to listen to it more to see if I think it's good or not. Thanks for the response, I doubted this would be valuable but asked just in case given that there's some huge edwin starr fans in the northern scene.

I reckon it's worth about £20-£30 Definitely worth having on the shelves for sure!

Ian Dewhirst Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) Hit me with your love made it on 45 in Germany as well, different flip tho "sweetest thing". "Sweetest Thing" is a great track. Very nice on a 45. I've only ever had it on a 12"........... Ian D Edited February 28, 2012 by Ian Dewhirst
