There cannot be many popular Northern Tracks left that are not on one CD or another. Anybody know of tracks so far missed off?

Willie Brown - Get out and get it

George Benson - Supership

Alfie Khan - Law of the land

All I can think of and I maybe wrong on these!!

Yes, can't remember for the life of me which one, but definitely been put out, probably late 90s.

Makes you wonder where these rumours come from. I doubt it was even released in Ireland. It was certainly released in the UK. I've had two singles by here on British RCA.

It's on Lost Soul treasures Vol 1 which is a bootleg.

When I do the Top ten highest priced norther soul singles on ebay on reflections there are alway a couple that don't appear to be on CD.

Is this on a CD "Royal Five " " My Baby Cares For Me " Cobra

Anyone know of or compiled a list of things available on CD? I realise this would be a mamoth task, but would be interested to know if anyone has tried.

yeh thats the one. got a burned copy from a friend awhile back.

Oh man! This stuff drives me nuts. I'm always trying to get the best possible quality version that I can. I get disappointed when I can't get stuff on CD and can't find the record. It's also disappointing when people put out CDs that sound no better than old cassettes. Case in point: Cam/Park CDs. Those didn't sound so hot.

And I don't buy bootleg 45s, so I've got loads of songs that I'd love to see some out on CD and mastered properly whenever possible.

Dream Team is on Ol' Virginia Soul Vol 1 or 2 (with its IMO superior flip side 'There He Is')

Devotions is on a 'transitional' CD from the US (can't remember the title, but if you google Devotions Do De Do De Dop Nation it should appear.

Can't comment on the mastering though as I've not heard either of the CDs

Thanks these are useful.

Was wondering though if anyone had ever treid to compile something more comprehensive (which, again, I realise would be almost impossible). Particularly given the number of US CDs I've seen around (often not aimed at the UK 'northern' scene) that often include one or two (and sometimes quite rare) tracks.

8. I'm Coming Home-September Jones

16. Love Slave-Antellects

Both of these have been released on Goldmine CDs I think

Alright then, apart from those everything's been released on Cd Lol! :-)

11. Making My Daydream Real-We the People

This came out on the Togetherness 2004 CD on Expansion.

Is this thread referring to legitimate CDs, if so there are loads of current and recent plays not available? However a lot are available on bootleg CDs or via swapping groups I imagine.

Anyone ever heard a decent MP3 of Margaret Littles?

Thanks for letting me know about a few of these tracks. Keep 'em coming too. I may also put another list out there, too. Let's see if I can come up with about 100 more.

Loads of those are out on official cd's mate. The Rotations actually came out in a previously unreleased full length version which I'll enclose here (on the CD Northern Side Of Philly Soul)
