Mal C Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) absolutely overjoyed this morning, at last I have an Aussie Gene McDaniels on Liberty, thats the LP and all the better 45's that came out complete... I have a 'Completeness' feeling this morning!!! you might notice that the LP sleeve is the same as the USA one, its actually a USA one with the LPR-325 cat number of the bottom right and on the disc its self, other than the sleeve inside being the plastic Aussie one, its a USA printed LP Sleeve. sorry bout the LP disc scan, cold not get it flat... Mal C Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Poor old Gladys, she's been left out a bit, still another Aussie Tamla 45 on Demo of course...

Alan Bonthrone1 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 A Brace of Canadian Mimm, s arrived today.
Chris L Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Here's some Italian Motown. Not sure if they are really 1st issue or early 70s 2nd releases.
bobkayli Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Australia Bob, I only collect Aussie.. and Yank if course.. OK, I once saw a dealer selling a copy of the Jackie Day EP. Would have liked it but at the eight hundred quid he was asking, i thought it better to pass.

Italy.JPGItaly2.JPGItaly4.JPG Italy1.JPGItaly3.JPGItaly5.JPG seeing the numbering and that RCA were responsible for the distribution, i would put them as first pressings. 1
Pete S Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Not that I know of. Pete S claims he once had a german issue for sale. But no other proof so far. Not sure, I definitely had a Canadian one - but if I said I had one, I did have one. I had a lebanese Earl jackson once.. 1
Mal C Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 OK, I once saw a dealer selling a copy of the Jackie Day EP. Would have liked it but at the eight hundred quid he was asking, i thought it better to pass. Christ, thats extortionate... pay £200 over here, no doubt you could get it cheaper down under... I was paying under 15aud for most stuff when I lived there, if it was special it might have gone upto $60 say.. but only on things like Sue Barker LP, stuff like that... M
Chris L Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Not sure, I definitely had a Canadian one - but if I said I had one, I did have one. I had a Lebanese Earl Jackson once.. Worth risking the danger of getting there and looking for a copy
Chris L Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 seeing the numbering and that RCA were responsible for the distribution, i would put them as first pressings. I couldn't see any old fashioned black & silver TM labels in Italy so I guess you're right. Trust the Italians to use flair and colours
Mal C Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) Just won this, which I'd totally forgot about as a track... hadn't heard it since the eighties on a Kent Lp.. Mal;_) Edited January 22, 2015 by Mal C 1

bobkayli Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 is the Edwin Starr sleeve from Turkey? Looks like the French sleeve. Does the numbering on the sleeve match the record?.
