Dave Thorley Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Tommy Tate - If I gave you my heart - Sundance £20 +P&P (Stone mint) Stunning midtempo 70's soul dancer from the master of southern soul www.topdogrecords.co.uk
Sunnysoul Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I agree Dave, and in my opinion this is the superior side to the also very nice flip "What Gives You The Right " which got all the plays back then ...
Windlesoul Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 (edited) Agree too! Don't really collect post 60's these days but could never really understand why this side didn't get more exposure than the flip back in the 80's, was always a bit uncomfortable with the tempo on 'What....' if you know what I mean, but 'If I gave you my heart' is just fab! Correct me if I'm wrong, Dave but was this not an 80's release rather than 70's? I know this / the flip / both came out on UK Move in the 80's (I remember buying a copy from the label office in Edinburgh) and ? Soulbowl pushing the Sundance one in quantity in the 80's Mark Edited February 23, 2012 by mark w.
