Keithw Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 what do people think about using this instead of paypal register then you can pay people using your mobile phone Number MAYBE only android/iphone/blackbury type in a text type way - no fees also get paid same way dont need a barclays account to pay but you do to receive SOUNDS GOOD TO ME goes straight into your account - text tells you when anyone has paid heres mine ----BARCLAYS PINGIT- 07508 838118
Keithw Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) you go on your phone and click on barclays.co.uk click on pingit download it tells you the things you need usual type details so when its done -only need to do that bit once---- use form and type in person your paying,s mobby number and amount up to 300 squid they then send the person a text saying your mobby has put the amount in you bank you pay price of you moby text - 10p is it barclays underwrite the deal so if theres a prob your money is always safe/returned Edited February 22, 2012 by keithw

Mike Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 but to all purposes isn't it just the same as paypal gift ?
Mark S Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 Barclays underwrite the deal , well thats allright then .
Chalky Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 but to all purposes isn't it just the same as paypal gift ? Having just read the blurb it looks that way. Simply a vehicle to send and receive money. I can't see anything for a failed business transaction, or in our case paying for a record and then not receiving it. It'd be good if dealing face to face with the seller but I certainly wouldn't use it for an "online" transaction unless there are safeguards like there is with a credit card if over £100???
