Last week at an antique mall I bought a bag of records for a few bucks. In there was an issue/stock of Charlene and the Soul Serenaders - Can You Win on Volt. I knew the record was something and then I saw the Manship auction results from a month or so ago. I presume that is probably not a realistic value. There was also a copy in Sales for offers and closed out as sold.

What is this really worth and why is it so expensive? I assume it's a really big record in the UK/Europe at the moment and this is one of those supply and demand things? My copy is not in the best of shape so I need to think about if I want to move it while it's hot.

Besides being a lovely crossover tune, its saught after on both the Volt and Paradox issues.

There's also reference to the record in

One for auction if you must sell, be honest about the condition though.

Regards

Mick.
