Dekka Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 liz lands one mans poison is a great track , just started collecting this label and have about 10 at the moment but will be adding some more soon Have to agree with the Liz Lands track, I played it out at smooth Soul in newark, it went down a storm.
Shinehead Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 this is also a vietnam record if you listen to the lyrics. I had listened to the lyrics Bob but thought they were about a young girl wondering about the time span of her new relationship , listening again you are right and makes it even more poignant. Great record . 1
Guest MrC Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Always loved this, great double sider - The Accents - Who You Gonna Love/You better think again
Guest Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Worth noting: 4807 Benny Turner - pressed twice (slightly different credit layout) featuring two different takes...both good. 4834 Otis Clay - two versions, both seemingly pressed on demos and stockers
Sleeps45 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 one of my favorite ballads on the label https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skWS4_HQ-p0 1

Sean Hampsey Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 And one of the most POWERFUL records ever made, came out on One-Derful. Sean
Guest Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 this is also a vietnam record if you listen to the lyrics. Indeed it is BOB 'Will you be over there, with no-one to care'....which brings an extra poignancy to a beautiful record....
