Has anyone mentioned Butch's Might Lovers C/U?

For me the best dance floor discovery of the last 10 years. If you haven't heard this proper Northern monster you really don't know what you've missed.

THE TREND SEEMS TO BE TO PICK THREE TRACKS THAT WOULD GET YOU ON THE DANCE FLOOR, SO HERES MINE BUT WITH A TWIST.

The ones that always had me stomping.

Key to my hapiness-Charades

Cause your mine-Vibrations

Just ask me=Lenis Guess

The mid tempo ones i can still strutt my stuff to.

Looking for you-Garnett Mimms

If thats what you wanted-Frankie Beverly

Dearly Beloved- Jack Montgomery

These ones reflect my current musical taste,

(and also the current state of my knees-lol)

Its no mistake-Darrow Fletcher

I'll come running back-Sandra Wright

Im the one who loves you-Darrell Banks

There is probably another hundred i could put down but why spoil the fun of others on the thread.

Ok, I've chosen these three because they really do make me run to the dance floor and thats partly because one doesn't hear them too often.

In no particular order

Jimmie & Vella Cameron - Lovin' You Is Such A Groove

Two People - Stop.

Harvey Averne Dozen - Never learned to dance.

Also got to throw in Manny Corchado - Pow Wow :)

been trying to track down a copy of it, Sebastian Nilsson from Sweden played it on the last Backstreet night here in Copenhagen and it was my last official dance of the evening. good one to go out on though! not massively rare but also not widely known I think, and thus hard to pin a copy down.

The following always make me head for the floor

My Three for what its worth.

Larry Davis - I've Been Hurt So Many Times (Kent 4519) 1969

Kurt Harris - Emperor Of My Babys Heart (Diamond 158) 1964

Last but not least

Hopkins Bros - Shake Cheri (Magnetik 419) 1970

Like everyone else says loads more & I totally agree with a lot of the sounds that have already been put up.

Like the answer in another topic regarding your all time top ten. Sounds that 'grab you' can change over time, but I'll stick with these three as must dance sounds

Yvonne Baker - You didn't say a word

Williams & Watson - Too Late

Timi Yuro - It'l never be over for me

Mel Britt "She'll come running back"

Mandrill "To Late"

Natural Four "I thought you were mine" (Boola Boola mix)

For as long as I can remember these 3 have always captured my attention and got me on the floor, from the moment the album arrived I regarded Mandrill as one the finest 70's soul tunes ever recorded, and to this day that view hasnt changed.
