Dave Thorley Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Sounding good Bob, nice show so far
Guest Nick Harrison Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Enjoying the various vastly appeciated musical styles...........The Softones and The Profit Of Peace, then changing it to a more soulfull uptempo with New Birth and John Washington. Didn't catch the title or the artist after the John Washington 45, but was from 1979 - a real uplifting head nodder. Gripping stuff from many a dusty unknown exclusive 45 - out of both Chicago and Ohio. And my cooked breakfast is on it's way as is hour 2 .................um um it's all supreme soul food happiness.
Dave Thorley Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Was a really nice soulful 2 hours, with lots of diversity, great show

Djmelismo Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Hi Bob! I listen to the Soul People Show from time to time and was thrilled to learn that you would be a featured dj, since I am regular follower of your Sitting In The Park show and know that you always bring quality selections to the (turn)table Brilliant show as expected and these were my top tunes: Exclusives - Loose and funky Prophets of Peace - The max Essence - Standin' here with my love wide open Mel Production Band - Smiling and crying La'Fez - This is the way that I am Sir Dane and Darius - We shouldn't have to break up FJ Jones - The way I feel Aswads - I'm so proud Michael Quinn - I'll let you go Stride - Come inside Monofide - Time will change your mind Zodiac - I miss you Unknown Artist - Remedy Sapphire - How've you been gettin' along Vernon Steve Weakley - Now and Forever C# Sharp - My turn to shine ...also pleased to hear tunes from the bluesier side, reminded me of how much I like that kind of sound as well. Regards M 1
Mister Fish Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 (edited) At least someone else likes the Sir Dane and Darius. Everyone I play it for doesn't like it. It sure is a grower. All their stuff is a little left-field but classy I think. I also like the John Washington flip that you're not keen on Bob! Edited February 20, 2012 by Mister Fish 1
