Mick Sway Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Any help with this query would be greatfully recieved. I have this copy of Sandra Philips, "World without sunshine", b/w oki on a white viynl Broadway 45-403 DJ. I suspect that i'ts a 1970's boot (see scan) however the only reference I can find to a boot suggests that it was done on a double sided "world without" white lable boot (i.e. same both sides). The scratched matrix is 66BY258, no stamp. Help appreciated. Thanks Mick
Pete S Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Mick this was booted like the above record with the correct B side. See if you can find a proper stamp in the run off like nashville matrix or bell sound, the boot doesn't have one. The fade on that label in the picture makes it look old enough to be orig though.
boba Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I got burned with this boot AFTER I bought the manship bootleg guide because it's not listed there. It is listed in volume 5 of the price guide, I can look up the details later if you still need them.
Robbk Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 That looks original to me (just like the new one I bought in 1965). It should have a Nashville Matrix stamp. The boots have whiter label background, and the print is lighter and less even (e.g. from photograph).

Robb, the boot I got burned on looks exactly the same as the original, only the deadwax is different.
Mick Holdsworth Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Real ones have "For Promotional Use Only" on the right under the numbers. The boots have "DJ Copy Not For Sale" on the left under the time. Cheers Mick
