Dranny Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Yeh she got married and re released the tune with her married name but exactly the same take .
Chalky Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Both Private Stock and RCA releases from the same year I think, 1975.
Guest Bri C Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Thanks for the info, I saw the RCA one on raresoul for sale and was puzzled,
Steve Plumb Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Yes they are the same record - both her name and married name were used - don;t know why she tried as dee dee schwartz though after being known as dee dee warwick all her life? Actually, i got a couple of copies of her Private Stock 45 last week and one has 'DeDe Warwick' on the label and the other has 'Dee Dee Warwick', so even the Private Stock 45 throws up another anomaly!
John Benson Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I think if you have a closer look at them both Steve, you may see they are different release numbers, along with a different flip side. PSR 45,011 is Dee Dee Warwick "Get out of my life" / "Funny how we change places" - released in 1974 PSR 45,033 is Dede Warwick "This time may be the last time" / "Funny how we change places" - released in 1975 UK release: PVT 13 is Dee Dee Warwick "Get out of my life" / "Funny how we change places" - released in 1975 Saying that I've just come across this one, also on PSR 45,011: Yes, it's very confusing isn't it...! 1

Hi John Both those Private Stock names I spoke of are #011 with 'Get out of my life' on the other side (like your last scan) Hope you're well mate? Cheers Steve

Whilst flicking through some old Blues & Soul mags looking for Sandra Wright I found this interesting article from issue 163 June/July 1975 which answers your question Kev 2
Steve Plumb Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hi Kev Thanks for posting the B&S article, very interesting and answers the question of why and how she changed her name Cheers Steve
John Benson Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Even though in the article she clearly states that she chose the name. For some reason I had it in my mind that it was her (then) surname at the time? I'm wondering where I could have read this now - or did I just dream it?
Sjclement Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Bit early to be using the 'crossover' tag ? lol
