Guest Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 (edited) Hi there, I am posting this in hope that someone may be able to help me find a soul tune that myself and my wife loved before we married. We used to have it on cassette tape but somehow during a house move it got lost. We are both 31 and used to listen to it back in 1996-1999 when we were living in Sheffield, think it may have been played on soul station pilot radio and it was a real slow soul love song. I know quite a few lines from the lyrics: I know that you can only stay for a while, so let's cherish every moment we have....(Opening line I think) ...aint no place.. that I'd rather be ....say you will, keep me close to your heart....(chorus?) I know it isnt much to go on but we would be sooo happy if we found out what it was, any help would be greatly appreciated, if it is any help we thought at one point it might be someone like Zhane but dont think it is now. It is one female singer and another track on the cassette was R Kelly's bump n Grind. Best wishes Hayz Edited December 1, 2005 by Hayz

Guest Dan Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 when roughly is it from? 60s? 70? later? male, female or group vocal?
Guest Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 (edited) Hi Dan, it is from the 90's and is sung by one female soul singer. I remember the cassette had recordings from the local pilot radio station and another tune that was on there was the song that goes "I can't see nothing wrong with a little bump and grind" so I guess it is the same style and era as this. Many thanks Hayz Edited December 1, 2005 by Hayz
