I don't live in the UK, but in my personal experience, this is by far the most difficult Vanguards 45 to find. Released around the time of their "Good Times Bad Times", "Your Breaking My Heart" was issued on a microscopic label from a tiny town with only one stop light. I doubt it ever got much distribution and the entire backstock was burned down in a warehouse fire 15 years ago. I've never seen it on Ebay or a set sale list. For whatever reason I found a few copies of their other Shirley release "All The Women I've Wanted" but never this one. On a recent trip to Indianapolis I was visiting a producer's studio in an abandoned and crumbling building near downtown. This 45 was wedged between boxes of master tapes and rubble. The owner couldn't remember how he got it.

Condition is VG+ with a slight warp that is only faintly audible.

You guys are so mean

Its Love Music and personally its a awesome 45

The singer was in my opinion singing from personal experience and it hurt me listening

to his tortured vocal

Trouble with some people if it aint four beats to the bar it aint soul :wave:wink.gif

Agreed, a lovely Soul record

I'll agree with Mr Nightingale (as usual) and call it even further, its a f***king great soul record, what a vocal, definitely not one for the dancefloor but proper soul. Any venue brave enough to feature something this slow now????

Cheers

Jock

Thats a good soul record......would fit on the Lost soul oldies CDs no problem........like it a lot whistling.gif:ohmy:
