great both sides, not as good as the sable magnetics but better than the ra-sel imo.

IMO Heart pales beside Lady In Green, one of my all time favs, roll on that lottery win

Dan i must admit my bottom started twitching a bit when i first saw this one go up on ebay, is it time to unload my copy quick i thought, so as i'd just purchased a record from him it gave me a chance to ask him about the copy he was selling. By the way, i did say to him that i wouldn't be bidding on it before i asked him about it, here's what he said:-

The Magnetics was uncovered by a picker in a basement recently, based on scribblings on a few of the sleeves, I'd say it was probably promo stuff intended for the WJLB DJ xxxxx xxxxxxx, maybe he gave away to someone in the neighborhood or a relative, who know? I didn't notice any distortion or noise when I played it, it seemed like I was the first one to give it a spin! best, xxxxx

By the way, that's not him sending me kisses at the end, just thought best to blank out names.

I see he's cancelled the 2 bids that took it to the $7000 price, as they had no feedback. One of those no feedback names won the Cairo's the other day, wonder if they got their money.

I've always loved "The Lady In Green" myself, and consider it to be far the better side. It just has a mystique about it that "Heart..." lacks. So what if a number of copies turn up. It'll still be a great northern soul record.

In my (very weak) defence I have read in the past of people suggesting that some money from records that sell for large amounts of cash should go to the artists concerned - honest that's why I jumped at Simon.

That saves me writing a reply. But i suppose I could add that yes the diffrence is in the mystique. "Heart.." is a good tune but not unique in the way that "Lady in Green" is ' Lady in Green' could well to be as timeless as "Gypsy Woman".
